S&S Precision Manta Strobe
The S&S Precision Manta Strobe is an integral component of S&S Precision’s Advanced Illumination & Marking Systems (AIMS). Designed specifically as a helmet-mounted lighting solution, it offers both infrared and visible light modes, easily switched with a single button press. The device is user-friendly, allowing activation with one hand, and its button configuration is intuitive, enabling operation without the need for visual confirmation.
The base of the S&S Precision Manta Strobe is uniquely contoured to conform to the shape of contemporary combat helmets, while also being compatible with non-ballistic helmet designs, thanks to the included webbing adapter. A significant advantage of this strobe is its operational modes; it defaults to infrared mode to minimize the risk of unintentional activation of the white light. The design requires simultaneous pressing of two side buttons to engage the visible strobe, enhancing safety for the operator in tactical situations.
The S&S Precision Manta Strobe stands out as a highly innovative infrared signaling device, distinct from other products available. Its streamlined design minimizes snag hazards with no protruding edges, and the tail cap is easily accessible for activation, even when wearing gloves. Upon initialization, a small motor provides a three-vibration alert to confirm that the strobe is operational.
