The L3Harris GPNVG-18 Ground Panoramic Night Vision Goggle is a remarkably lightweight device designed for enhanced night vision capabilities. It boasts impressive tube resolution and can be powered by either the supplied CR123 battery pack or a cold weather PVS-31 battery pack, facilitating quick deployment.
The L3Harris GPNVG-18 features a fixed bridge housing with detachable optical pods, allowing users to utilize a single pod for handheld operations, which provides a broader field of view compared to standard monocular night vision devices. When an optical pod is removed from the bridge, it draws power from the included battery power adapter, ensuring versatility and ease of use in various operational scenarios.

I consider these the holy grail of the night vision device market. I was able to get a smoking deal on a set of these during Black Friday, but I’m not quite sure they will be paid off this decade! They aren’t something you would want to use for every application. But they do work for what they were designed to work for. They definitely allow for much more situational awareness with the 97 degree panoramic FOV, but at the same time, regular binos can work just fine. I think they’re worth the money and a 5 star rating so I do recommend them to anyone in need of a night vision device like this if it applies to their needs.
