B.E. Meyers MAWL-DA
The B.E. Meyers MAWL-DA Modular Advanced Weapon Laser Direct Action laser aiming device is a powerful aiming device that utilizes both infrared and visible green lasers for enhanced targeting and illumination on individual carbines. Designed with a focus on superior ergonomics, user interface, and overall performance, the B.E. Meyers MAWL-DA has been meticulously developed to meet the requirements of contemporary night combatants.
The B.E. Meyers MAWL-DA boasts a significantly enhanced illumination range and superior beam pattern and quality across all distances when compared to other laser devices available for commercial use. Its design streamlines the operation of complex multi-position switches, offering simplified settings for Close Range, Mid Range, and Long Range, each tailored with the appropriate power and divergence.
With a height of only 0.37 inches above the rail, the B.E. Meyers MAWL-DA buttons are positioned lower than those on any competing device, ensuring compatibility with standard weapon lights and micro backup sights. Additionally, the B.E. Meyers MAWL-DA is fully ambidextrous; by merely swapping the end cap and head, it can be easily remounted for left-handed use.
FEATURES:
- Tighter Divergences: Reduction in divergences across all MAWL settings have been implemented to provide greater clarity and illumination at longer ranges; meanwhile reducing potential illumination of closer objects that may distract the shooter, such as blades of grass, shrubbery/vegetation, etc. As part of this, we removed the stacked divergences on mid-range to provide distinct settings in line with end-user preferences.
- Intuitive & Immediate Operation: All (A) Buttons are intended for longer-ranges with tighter divergences, and all (B) buttons are intended for shorter ranges with wider divergences.
- Power & Irradiance: By the numbers, it can appear that there is less illumination than before, but please note that divergences have also narrowed. For clear identification and illumination of targets at all ranges this is not only sufficient, but most appropriate.
- Ride the Slide: The current settings allow for the end-user to double-click constant on, and quickly manipulate multiple ranges with any given divergence pattern between high, medium, and close range. For example, an operator may utilize only (B) button within a structure, adjusting between low/medium/high in the wider (B) button setting as they move through stairwells, hallways, and rooms quickly. The same can be said of quickly adjusting through (A) button settings in an exterior urban environment should constant-on IR illumination pose a threat of compromise.
- TripleClick: Two additional settings have been added to B.E. Meyers MAWL-DA, providing two more modes of operation. Whereas there were 6 settings before, now there are 8, providing the end-user with a greater multitude of options depending on environment and application.
- TripleClick High Power Pointer/Illuminator: This enhanced illuminator and high-powered pointer provide improved visibility of the beam over extended distances. This capability is advantageous for identifying target holdover reference points, penetrating obscurants, and overcoming photonic barriers at greater ranges
- TripleClick High Power Pointer Only: This enables the functionality of a Commander’s Pointer for integrating ground-to-ground or air-to-ground operations, facilitating clear and accurate target designation.

Our department acquired a handful of these and the laser beam is so powerful it should be in Star Wars! I didn’t think there would be much of a difference between eye safe and restricted lasers but there definitely is. This model definitely contributes to owning the night!
