Additionally, the Aimpoint Micro T-2 includes recessed lenses with protective flip-up covers; the front cover is solid while the rear is transparent, enabling users to shoot with both eyes open even when the caps are closed in urgent situations. Constructed from hard-anodized aluminum alloy, the housing provides superior protection for the electronic and optical components across various environmental conditions. The Aimpoint Micro T-2 is also compatible with Aimpoint 3XMAG-1 and 6XMAG-1 magnifiers, as well as all generations of night vision devices.

Aimpoint red dot sights are designed to be operationally parallax-free, ensuring that the visible dot aligns with the bore of the weapon regardless of the viewer’s eye position relative to the sight.
