Aimpoint has once again set a new benchmark for pistol-mounted optics with the launch of the Aimpoint ACRO P-2 Red Dot Reflex Sight 3.5 MOA. This advanced sight features an enhanced LED emitter paired with a high-capacity CR2032 battery, delivering an impressive five years (50,000 hours) of continuous power while improving target acquisition speed and accuracy. Engineered to withstand the forces generated by semi-automatic pistol slides, the ACRO series was the first to offer a fully enclosed optical channel that protects the LED emitter. Designed to meet the rigorous demands of professional users, the ACRO P-2 has been rigorously tested to endure extreme shock, vibration, temperature fluctuations, and material stresses from firing over 20,000 rounds of .40 S&W ammunition. The new high-efficiency LED emitter produces a crisp 3.5 MOA dot, while the protective clear glass front and rear lenses safeguard the sophisticated reflective lens system. The updated digital intensity adjustment keypad offers a more pronounced tactile feedback for dot intensity adjustments, with controls conveniently located next to the battery compartment to prevent accidental changes. Beyond serving as a primary optic for handguns, the ACRO P-2 can be mounted on carbines, shotguns, and rifles, or used as a backup sight for magnified scopes and thermal imagers. It is compatible with a variety of optics-ready handguns through adapter plates, night vision compatible, and the dot intensity can be increased for visibility in bright sunlight.

Aimpoint red dot sights are designed to be operationally parallax-free, ensuring that the visible dot aligns with the bore of the weapon regardless of the viewer’s eye position relative to the sight. This feature eliminates the need for the user to center the dot within the sight. With an accurate zero, if the dot is aimed at the target, the shooter is also on target. Aimpoint red dot sights enhance the shooter’s confidence by enabling them to concentrate on the target while maintaining awareness of their surroundings with both eyes open, resulting in quicker first-round hits with increased assurance.
