Allen Engineering AEM4-65 Suppressor
The Allen Engineering AEM4-65 Suppressor represents an advancement of the standard 5.56mm AEM4, specifically tailored for 6mm and 6.5mm calibers. Although the traditional AE/OPS INC baffle design remains intact, the intention was not merely to enlarge the bore and consider it sufficient.
The selection of the AEM4 was primarily influenced by its shorter B-length mount, which facilitates compatibility with short-dwell barrels frequently found in the 6mm ARC family. The initial prototype of the Allen Engineering AEM4-65 was designed to accommodate a 16″ Rifle gas barrel featuring a tapered gas block.
Each Allen Engineering suppressor is meticulously assembled to ensure concentricity with the mount, thereby reducing any adverse effects on the projectile’s trajectory post-bore exit. The tapered mount on all Allen Engineering suppressors facilitates consistent alignment with the bore and ensures reliable return to zero after removal for transport or maintenance, while also mitigating misalignment risks from accidental drops or bumps. It is compatible with Type B Standard AE/OPS style brakes and collars.
